THE REQUIREMENTS

to registration of articles for Journal of Superhard Materials

 

I. Contents of articles

 

1. Each article should be supplied with the Universal decimal classifier (UDC) and abstract of volume no more than 500 marks, including blanks; the list of the authors should be accompanied by the instruction (indication) of their scientific ranks and exact name of a place of work (name of organization, city, country), telephone and address of electronic mail for contact.

 

2. The structure of article should correspond to the following order of a statement:

a) Urgency of a problem;

b) Condition of a question;

c) Purpose of research;

d) Substantiation of application and description of the technique, chosen by the author;

e) Statement of results;

f) Conclusions;

g) Literature.

 

3. The authors are obliged strictly to follow norms of literary language of the publication and to avoid the use of the not standard terms and concepts.

 

4. In the text of article all meeting designations should be explained, except for common. Designations used in the formulas, should be given the descriptions directly after the formula, in which they meet for the first time in given clause, except for cases, when they are described earlier in the text. If in indexes variable or expressions the reductions are used, their sense should be explained in the text or to be obvious.

 

5. The literature brought at the end of the publication should settle down by way of its first mention in the text of clause and to be made out according to the following samples:

 

The one-languid editions

Volumes of the multivolume editions

The note. The description of the patent documents is necessary for representing in language of the original.

 

II. Registration of articles

 

Articles should be prepared in a format of the text editor MS Word. The text of article should be typed by a font Times New Roman, and Greek and mathematical symbols - font Symbol (text by the size 12 points through 1,5 intervals). The latin symbols should be italic, greek and cyrillic – direct, vectors – direct bold (irrespective of the alphabet). The illustrations to article, depending on their contents, should be submitted by separate graphic files in the following kind: intensified (photo, X-ray photograph, portraits) – as the originals or, if the authors have such opportunity, as graphic files of formats *.BMP, *.PCX, *.JPG, *.GIF. The size of the graphic images (in elements of the image, pcs) should be not less than 300´300 pcs and no more than 900´900 pcs; shaped (diagrams, it is preferable to carry out figures, circuit, diagram) – means MS WORD, and also means MS EXCEL. If such opportunity at the authors is not present, figures can be submitted as graphic files of formats *.WMF or *.CDR, it is possible use a format *.OPJ (Origin). If figure can not be submitted in vector (i.e. set forth above for the shaped images) format, it can be submitted in bitmapwith the sizes 1000´1000 pcs and more. The insert in the document of figure made by any graphic editor, is not supposed through teams (Copy-Paste). The inscriptions in figures should, whenever possible replace with figures and letters explained in the signatures to figure or in the text; they should be precisely separated from graphic elements of figure. On the diagrams it is not necessary to render a coordinate grid, only divisions of scales. Figures should be placed on separate pages of the document containing article.

The tables are printed on separate pages and should have heading. In the tables the units of measurements of sizes are necessarily specified. It is necessary to avoid recurrence of the given tables and diagrams in the text of article, representation of the same numerical results as the tables and diagrams simultaneous.
